Yay! I finished the quilt top of the In Color Order HST Block of the Month 2012 sew-along! Actually, I still just finished it in the old year on New Year's Eve, but only now managed to take some half-decent pictures.

This sew-along was so much fun and the idea of making a block a month was really appealing and realistic time-wise as well.

I used a mishmash of fabrics, some scraps or leftovers from other projects and I'm really happy with the result. The springtime colours are really appealing at this time of the year! The binding is a print from Josephine Kimberling's Just Dandy and I made what I had go further with that lovely Bonnie and Camille Bliss dot that I also used in some of the blocks.

I think I'll make a pieced backing and then bind it with that brown safety pin fabric. Let's see.

I have some other unfinished quilt projects, so I think I'll tackle those before starting a new one, but I think this won't be my last BoM quilt. :-)

Just beautiful! It has been fun hasn't it!
I love the colors you used. It is always fun to see what others choose sew with.
